I was wondering how dangerous ovarian drilling is, and what is the success rate? Is this a relatively new procedure? I have just heard about it, and am looking for some facts. I have been on Clomid for 3 months, with no success. On metaformin (for PCOS) for over a year.

But, it doesn't solve the significant underlying problem of PCOS: Insulin Resistance
Ovarian drilling can diminish antral follicles, reducing the number of eggs one has, and knowing that we now have Clomid, metformin and other meds such as injectable gonadotropins, these treatments should be strongly considered prior to having ovarian drilling performed (did I mention surgical risks also?)
