my husband and i are trying to conceive; today is cycle day 17 and i usually ovulate on day 19. i came down with a UTI (no doubt about it, urge to pee, a little bit of pain). i have 3 tablets of 500mg levaquin, i'm wondering if it's safe for me to take them for 3 days?

i would take AZO over the counter.... but as long as ur not pregnant i couldn't see why not?

Levaquin is not a medication given to pregnant women as it can cause birth defects

If you know you're not pregnant yet (that is a negative hpt) then ok

thank you vera and dr. q. i went to the doctor and got a prescription for 7 day supply of macrodantin. the doctor told me it's safe even for pregnant women.

now my question is, should i keep trying for next few days since i'm ovulating soon? i'm worried about passing the uti to my husband and also if it has negative effect on conception if it does happen?
