Hi Ladies,

Could you please help me answer this question? I wanted to know whether it is safe to carry, hold babies (new born - 3 months) when you are pregnant?

My friend just had her baby and we went to the hospital to visit her and I held the baby for 30 mins while we were there in the hospital. Will it be any harm to our unborn fetus?

You should be totally fine!!! I just went to the dr for my check up and dr. said that doing light weights of like 5-10pounds would be fine. Lots of luck!!

I am in my early 1st trimester and I have a 24 lb baby at home that I carry all the time. Totally fine, but ud hurt ur back big time. Just be careful about that. Have a healthy pregnancy and Congratz

I am pregnant and carry my 3yr old ( 26 lbs) and my Doc said its fine.. you should be ok :)

think about those women over in foreign 3rd world countries they are pregnant and carry their other kids around or carry huge pitchers of water and work in the rice fields... I mean seriously they do things like that. So carrying a child is fine when you're pregnant.
