My only two issues in fertility are endometriosis and the fact that I have ALWAYS (even when I was skinnier) had a problem with ovulating on time. I was always a late with that (between days 18-30) or maybe never ovluated at all. My cycles have always been long (between 39-50 days sometimes) but I almost always have a period.
Okay, we also just found out my husband's sperm has issues penetrating hamster eggs (came back as 0 penetration) so that could be some of our issue getting pregnant as well. He has a solid sperm count though.
My RE, who I LOVE and trust, always refers to me as being PCOS. Even after she ran test and found out I was not. She still always says "PCOS patiences like you" and I always have to correct her and say "i do not have PCOS". Then she will says "well, I mean you have PCOS tendancies with the more weight you gain". So I dropped it.
Now I am reading about my current IVF protocol. They have me currently on 150 of Follistim, 75 Menopur, and 1 mg of Dexamethasone every evening. I am also to do a ganirelix protocol and not Lupron. I just started all this two days ago. So far, no side affects at all which I am happy about. I just read today that Dexamenthasone is used mostly for women with PCOS. I am concerned now she is thinking I have PCOS (again) when I dont. Should I question this or just not worry about it and trust her. IVF is so expensive and we dont have insurance so paying for it out of pocket...i just want to make sure she is not confused or something.
Thank you for your help in advance!
