My husband and I have been trying to conceive our first child for 2 years now. I'm 21 and he is 22 years old. I have irregular, usually very short cycles. Just for reference, my last cycle was 21 days long, the cycle before that was 27 days long, and the cycle before that was 14 days long. I just started temping my basal body temp, so I'm not sure when I ovulate or if I ovulate at all. What could be wrong? What can a doctor do to help me? Will I ever be a mommy?

A doctor (Ob but preferably RE) can do alot to help you get pregnant and you should consult one since you've been trying for two years. Your cycles can be controlled with medications if necessary, but would need to do some basic fertility blood tests, tube tests, and semen analysis on your partner (remember, it takes both of you to conceive). If there is a problem, it can usually be addressed and am confident given your age that you will be a mommy and hopefully with just some simple treatments.
