Infertility the second time around....
September 05, 2007
Hello everyone,
I am 24 and have been trying to conceive our second child for 6 months. My husband and I have not used any methods of BC for a year and a half now. Six months back I decided to go to the doctor for a check up to see why after all this time haven't I become pregnant. The doctor told me it was because I had been on mristh control for so long and it still needed to get out of my system give it time. So, I waited but when I started to get a period twice in one month and then not have one for 2 months. I knew something was wrong. I went back to the doctor because having a period every two weeks was not fun. Not to mention it was depressing to not see a period for two months and think I was pregnant and see BFN's every week. This visit I bring my husband for support and to help me have a voice. Well, this visit my doctor does a hormone test after we both insist that something is wrong. My doctor call with my test results and lets me know that I have PCOS and that she is going to prescribe me provera for 3 cycles to get my period jump started. I need to read Taking Charge Of Your Fertility to learn how to chart because I need to start charting my BBT everyday, check for cervical fluid, check my cervix daily, buy a OPK and start taking prenatal vitamins. If I don't get pregnant within 3 months then she will prescribe me Clomid to make me ovulate. All I could think was I knew something was wrong, and what is PCOS? I pounded the internet to find out what it was and to get a better understanding of what was happening to my body and why?
I'm on my second month of provera and today is the first day I 've felt a change in my cervix, other than when my period is ending. The catch is I still have no change in cervical fluid.
I am trying to keep a positive outlook on things. My husband and I pray and just hope for the best.
Good luck and baby wishes

Hi Skittles,
I know that you asked me how things were going the other day and I began to respond and then, well you know how it goes I got sidetracted! :( Sorry..Things are going well though. I have started my period with the help of Provera and this is my second day of my period. I am thinking that I am going to start the Clomid tomorrow on day 3 instead of day 5. How have you been? Are you also taking clomid? I love this website and can't wait to hear from you! Lots of baby dust headed your way! :

YEEAAHHH SKITTLES!!!! Im soo happy for you!! That gives me hope in thinking I may ovulate right after I get off my pills. I started testing yesterday CD6, just so I wouldnt miss it. Thank goodness I did start soo early, because I was going to start around CD11.
Im keeping all of mine as well, and writing on them the Cycle day and time, so I can have comparison, when it comes down to is it positive or not. Or also remembering the days prior!
Im soo excited for you sweetie, and I have such high hopes for you, and im so glad you switched doctors and everything!!
Lots of BABYDUST!!
Oh and we started BDing last night, and here on out, so hopefully we will be in the clear!
Much love sweetie!!

Hello Skittles! :-)
Thank you for asking, that is so kind of you. I had a bad cold three days ago, and with the help of rest, lots of water and juice, Tylenol cold and prayers, the cold virus completely left my system yesterday. hehe! No morning sickness for me yet either, but I do feel nauseous every now and then.
I hear ya, Sarah...tww was the worst EVER! haha! I've been reading about every single symptom I am feeling, looking at my charts every day if there is any change. I do hope and pray that we will get another BFP news in the next week or so. We keep on spreading the BABY DUST around! :-)
