I WANT A BABY!

Thank you i was thinking the same thing, but what kinds of tests should i ask for?

Monique, Asheley is right, it's just about that time that you visit a specialist, whether an Ob or an RE. You will get a thyroid test (TSH), Prolactin level and possibly Day 3 FSH and Estradiol. They may also want to check your tubes with an HSG and get a semen analysis on your husband. If they think you may have PCOS, more labs may be drawn (read on PCOS in this site for more info). At 20 y/o, I personally don't want you to be discouraged...your prognosis is excellent and am confident you along with Ashley will soon post with postive pregnancy tests given the right treatments, and you know, in the end, if you require a few pills to get pregnant...once you have your baby, it'll all be soooo worth it!

im in the same situation as you. im 25 and unable to conceive. i been ttc for about 3 1/2 years now with no luck. at the age of 17, i got an abortion (biggest mistake of my LIFE :( .... i meet my fiance at the age of 18 and was never really trying to get pg till about age 22... im not sure if what i did had an effect on me or if it may be my fiance..... what are some test that he will have to do to get checked out?

I know it's very difficult to cope with everything that has happenned in your life, but want to reassure you that many who have had abortions get pregnant later on without any problems. I know there's a lot of misinformation out there...but we're here to dispell those myths. Regardless of which side of the fence you may sit on abortions, medically speaking abortions rarely create infertility...infertility just happens to a great proportion of couples just because...

You may need a few tests, such as an HSG to check your uterus and fallopian tubes, Day 3 FSH Estradiol, TSH and Prolactin. Your partner may simply need a semen analysis. Depending on what this shows, you may just need a few simple treatments and would consult an Ob or better yet, an RE.

unfortunatly for me iv'e been sexually active for 3 years ,having unprotected sex for 1 year and still no results... this really upsets me..

It's ok jodeci, this is very common, and best that you visit a doc who can run fertilitytests on both you and your partner, so that if there's an issue, it can be addressed...

think about it this way. its all timing. in one year you only have one shot a month to get them to meet up. only one egg, one time. thats only 12 chances in a year. so dont beat your self up. stressing out can change your body a little too. so try and relax, dont think aboutit
