I miscarried last year. The Doctor said that my numbers from the blood work were not doubling. He said I would miscarry over the weekend. Well I was still pregnant when he said that there was no heart be at 6 1/2 weeks. I need to see a specialist now that we are pregnant but I only have IEHP (PLEASE HELP).

I'm trying to better understand your question, but from what I can see is that after a miscarriage last year, you are currently pregnant but were told it was not normal because your numbers were not doubling...In fact, numbers taken at 48hr intervals need only increase by 66% to have a normal pregnancy and sometimes people get the two blood draws at different times of the day to where the values are falsely low because their draws are say done 40hrs apart. With some ultrasound machines, it may still not be possible to see a heart beat at 6 1/2 weeks and am assuming you're still pregnant with this same pregnancy.

A specialist (RE) can see and follow this pregnancy along with your Ob/Gyn. If you have had two previous miscarriages, then appropriate tests can be performed to rule out say Antiphospholid Antibodies, possibly a thrombophilia panel ordered and a many more tests. Although REs usually don't take insurance, you can always consult one for them to go through your medical records. It may be worth paying their initial consultation fee (better yet if you can find one with a free initial consultation) and then they can get you all the studies and treatments needed to make sure all your bases are covered. Overall, you should rest assured that by even doing nothing, many studies and most of us can attest that more than 50% of subsequent pregnancies will come out Ok
