I'm READY already

September 06, 2009

I'm 27 and DH and I are ready for a baby. We just started trying. I have PCOS and have been trying to get my symptoms under control for quite some time in order to be as healthy as possible for pregnancy. I'm happy to say that I'm FINALLY at a healthy weight and my PCOS seems to be fading in the background a bit. I take 1000mg of GlucophageXR (Metformin) as well as prenatal vitamins. I found out not too long ago that they're fairly sure I'm now ovulating. I scored an 8.8 on my day 21 progesterone test. Now, I'm trying to pinpoint how long my luteal phase is in hopes that it's longer than 10 days. I'm pretty sure last month was only 9 days.

I love that there's a site like this for women. What a wonderful support network.

Indeed! Cheesecake will definitely increase the chances of conception - LOL=). We could do a study on that. . .I bet we could get LOTS of participants. . .especially if it was Cheesecake factory cheesecake!

I think October's going to be a GREAT month! I used to be so relieved when AF would come - in my much younger and not so responsible years.... :-/

But now it's a huge let down when it comes - Ironic how it turns full circle there...

I'm sending you BFP vibes Jamie!

I want to see the calendar Meg! Oh and thanks for getting me hooked on FT!!! :-)

Ooo! This could get dangerous! Cheesecake to help us conceive - I mean, really, I'll do what it takes and if it's cheesecake - count me in! (Someone's gotta do it!)

It's calorie free right?

Hi Hope! I can SO relate to the pcos. I haven't done clomid. How are you doing on the 1500 mg of metforman (Glucophage)? Is it the extended release? I'm on the XR and at 1000mg. I had very few side effects this time. When I was younger (23) I had awful side effects.

As far as the weight - SUCKY SUCKERTON! It's such a hard battle. The insulin resistance makes it sooo hard to loose weight. From my highest weight I lost 40 lbs. or so. I think some high stress contributed to that weight loss. As the stress passed I gained back some and now my total weight loss is 25 pounds. I had to see a nutritionist to really help. My insurance doesn't cover that - but yours could... It made a huge difference. We found food that MY body couldn't do. I work out so my calorie limit was put at 1500-1800 cal/day depending on my activity level. I had to keep fat around 35-45g per day. Carbs were the big deal as was fiber. I kept carbs around 30-45g per meal and I get 25g of fiber a day.

WOW - a lot of numbers. I don't know if they'll help you. But I sure wish someone would have helped me. So JUST IN CASE they help....

Anyway, hope - I'm thinking of you! Hang in there! Let me know how this 3rd round goes! Baby Dust!!!!

Morning wannabe, yes my metforman is time released, and i take it at night, it has never really given me any problems, the clomid turned me into a hard person to live with, lol, but all in all it is going as well as it can be going.

they put me on phentermene, a few yrs ago to help with weight loss and it did work, but then i gained it back when i got off it, i do better when i keep really busy like when i went to basic training and stuff i lost almost 35lbs, but now that i am back home and only have to do that stuff once a month so it is hard to keep that active. i have not taken that stuff for almost 3yrs. I have just been maintaining a good weigh but if i could lose more i am sure it would be better and prob easyer to make all my dreams come true.

I wish you luck, do you O on your own?
