I Feel Funny...

I'm on CD 23 and I have no idea if I even ovulated. Most of the time I don't ovulate on my own.

Anyway, I started very lightly spotting about 4 days ago and it continued to get more and more noticable (this is not uncommon for me, usually I spot for a week or two before AF). I figured AF was once again on her way.

Anyway, over the weekend I started feeling really weird. Tired, my boobs started hurting a little more than normal, and I started getting sick out of the blue. I'd be eating something feeling fine, then throw up, then back to feeling fine again. Over and over again. Throw up, feel fine, throw up, feel fine, out of no where.

Knowing that AF was on her way because of the spotting, I didn't think anything about being pregnant, but this morning, the spotting stopped completely! That is not normal... once my spotting starts, it usually is there until AF.

What is going on? Could I be pregnant? Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?

I would take a test sweetie. Just to see. Maybe this cycle you had an early ovulation on your own. I know when I wasnt ovulating on my own I would have light spotting and really light periods and they said thats a sure sign of not ovulating because its called a breakthrough bleed and was never a full flow.

This sounds all soo good sweetie and I hope you get that much deserved BFP!!!!

I hope so too Jolene. I really don't want to get my hopes up... I made myself a little rule that I follow. If any sign of spotting, bleeding, that equals not pregnant. So if I see spotting, I don't test, I don't think about being pregnant, I pretty much hang it up. Now I'm confused though. I guess we'll see, huh?

When should I test?

I would test in a few days then, to make sure its not AF coming. I hope its not though. I know the disappointment of getting negatives so I dont want to say take a test in the AM, and it not be positive.

Is being gassy a sign of pregnancy? I've been so gassy for the last couple of weeks! It's driving me crazy!

I was and still am really gassy...haha.

Oh goodie!! Well, not good about the gassiness, but I'm starting to get a little excited! Spotting is still completely gone (this never happens) and I couldn't be more happy about it!

Maybe just maybe it worked this month... I hope so. I'm scared to see a BFN... I'm thinking about waiting until Saturday morning to test. What do you think?

Oh yeah, I was going to tell you that the spotting is still completely gone. No sign of it whatsoever. I went to go check again because, like I said, the spotting never just stops, and it's still gone. I'm so happy.

Sorry ladies... had to take care of some stuff yesterday, but I'm back!

Ok, so I was going to test this morning, but I accidently used the restroom before I remembered! LOL!

No sign of any more spotting, even by the cervix is clear again. It's so strange. Honestly, that's never happened to me... once spotting starts it keeps going until AF, give or take a few hours maybe, not days! Yesterday I was mood swing central... felt like crying, screaming, laughing, sleeping... ugh.

Anyway, I can only hope it's good things ahead! :)

yup, gassy, bloated and my tummy hurt to have anything touch it - i wore huge pants :)

Thanks ladies... planning on testing tomorrow morning, if I last that long.

I used to think my cycles were 28 days average, but I averaged out my last 16 cycles and it came to 25 days. I'm on CD 25 now, so I'm getting excited! I have a dollar store test... do you think it will be accurate tomorrow morning??

Ok, ok, I really have two dollar store tests (different brands) and a clear blue easy digital test at home (I'm at work).

I'm saving the digital until I get a positive test or until it expires, first things first! LOL!

So, I'm going to take one tonight and if I get a negative, I'm going to save the other one for next week. If I get a positive, I'll pee my pants first (even if I just went) and then take the digital one the next morning. LMAO!

Well ladies, I got impatient and tested last night after a 5 hour urine hold. Negative, but still no AF, so I'm still in the game! When should I test again?

Aww sweetie im soo sorry about the negative.

You know maybe the spotting is from implantation, since you are what CD26. Maybe you had a later ovulation this cycle, and that the spotting was the start of implantation.

So I would say retest sometime next week, maybe Friday of next week if no AF.

Thats my personal opinion and what I would do.

Thanks Jolene. I got the testing bug out of my system, so now I'm ok on waiting a little longer to test again. I might test again on Sunday morning... depending on how I feel.

Usually if implantation occurs on 7DPO or so, then 7days after is 14DPO, so anywhere from 5-7 after implantation is good to test.

Awesome information Jolene, thanks again. I think I'm going to give it a break until this weekend.

With everything we've gone through, I've always had pretty steady periods... I'm just afraid that I'm going to start missing periods and NOT be pregnant. Of course, this would add more problems for us TTC. I don't want any more road blocks.

Your welcome sweetie, and keep that positive attitude going. This is something that usually doesnt happen with you with spotting and it stopping and not getting AF right away, so you are still in the game, and we are all praying for that BFP for you!

I averaged my last 16 cycles and found out that I have a 25 day average cycle, not a 28 day cycle like I thought, so since I'm CD 27 today, I'm officially 2 days late!! No sign of AF!

I totally want to have a blood test done, but it's really hard to get Kaiser to do it. I'm going to just wait it out a little longer. 31 days is the longest cycle I've had in 16 months, so I'm going to wait until then to ask for a blood test, but I am going to test again with a dollar store test either tomorrow or Sunday.

I really hope this is it for us! It would truly be a blessing!

I held out testing this weekend, but I brought a test with me today, haven't peed yet, and boy do I gotta go!! I'll be back with the results in about 10 minutes!!!

Ok, the verdict is... negative.

The test was a dollar store test. The control line is perfect, but there is no second line, only like color streaking across that whole section...

Well, now the color streaking is gone. Plain negative.

I'm 5 days late, no AF, spotting on CD 20-23, never enough for a pad and none ever got on my panties. It was only there when I wiped.

I have no idea what's going on.

Actually, I lied. Spotting only lasted from CD 20-22. Whoops...

I guess it really doesn't matter now, huh?

I'm sorry ladies, I feel really bad right now. I haven't taken a negative test this hard in a long time, since I'm usually so used to seeing them.

We are so in the same boat! Instead of spotting though, I have cramping like I do just before AF with no AF arriving! Now going on day 26 and usually AF is a 21-23 day gal. Neg tests all the way. My fertility doc told me to wait another week before testing again and if still no AF and neg test, then will do a blood test. This is so frustrating!

Sweetie dont give up, im telling you for real it could have been implantation with that spotting since you said that NEVER happens where you spot and no AF to follow. I say test on Friday or so. Give it atleast the 7days incase it was implantation that occured. Im wishin you the best and praying for that BFP!!!

Good news! I finally got my doctor to order me a blood pregnancy test! It took me asking 3 doctors, but ironically enough, my OBGYN is the one who did it for me, although she did say that urine HPT's are very accurate.

I think me and this OBGYN will really get along.

I didn't have it done yet. I just used the restroom and there was some light pink CM... typical of the days before AF comes. Great, just great. I fight so hard to get the blood test... I should have just listened to everyone that said if the tests are still negative, they are negative for a reason.

I keep trying to tell myself that, but the pink CM combined with the fact that I keep being told that the urine tests are very accurate, I keep doubting it.

At this point, I wouldn't even consider what I have "spotting" because it's almost unnoticable, but of course I'll see it because I've been paying very close attention.

In your opinion, since I already have the blood test ordered, should I have the blood test done to make sure or should I just wait until AF comes (or doesn't) and save the blood test for another time?

I would go ahead and have the test! You will know, I always prepare for the worst and hope for the best! AND....when I really thought I was prego, as soon as I found out I was not...I started! Stress relief I guess!!! Best of luck and babydust!

So, my spotting is much more noticable and has been going on all weekend. The only difference between this AF and normal AF's is that it's lighter, no clotting like usual, and it won't flow. I only see it when I wipe. I haven't needed to use a tampon or pad at all yet.

I never had the blood test done and I haven't taken a HPT in about a week (since the last negative), but I was thinking about doing it to ease my mind. If I do it, it'll be tonight. My boobs are WAY more sore than usual with or without AF.

Has anyone been pregnant and had anything similar to what I'm experiencing?

I pretty much just chalked it up to a weird AF, but I can't help but hold on to some hope.

I sure hope you get answers. I never had spotting like that so I cant give an answer. I did however have it after sex at times, because when pregnant the cervix is so sensitive. Have you taken any more tests to see. That would be my next bet.

I know how hard this is, and it sucks! I really think its time to try something to help your cycles out more. Maybe Clomid to boost the ovulation, that could really work!

i have heard that sometimes your body will have a "breakthru bleed" even if you dont ovulate on that month.

Thats what mine used to do. Its compared to what a period is like on the pill. I thought I was having periods when I was only having breakthru bleeding since I wasnt ovulating. Who knew?
