I am SO confused and scared & Lonely

Okay so let me start off by saying thank-you to whom ever answers this for me. So here's my story so far. I was diagnosed with P.C.O.S earlier this year after having blood test's done. I was sent to an infertility specialist for help becoming pregnant and he had me tested for diabetes/ came back negative thank god. Well as far as I know he was going to start me on medicine after wards but my insurance changed because I turned 18 and I had to get my own insurance. Now they don't except my new insurance and I was doing so much looking around for insurance and then came across someone who told me (an insurer) that no self pay insurance will cover infertility in Pennsylvania. So then I was wondering what in the world could I possibly do. If I don't have the money to pay 700.00 to see the infertility doctor. maybe you know something I don't. thank-you Alyssa

Its really hard to answer financial questions. The good thing is that you are young. If you need to wait and save up the money to see the specialist it is okay. PCOS is a lifetime condition. As long as you are having periods at least four times a year I would not worry about it. The treatment for pcos is birth control pills. If you are trying to conceive then clomid is the treatment. I wish you much luck with this...

sometimes with PCOS patients losing a little weight can help to bring back periods - if you are overweight. Otherwise your regualr OB can help you instead of going to a fertility doc. You are so young and have all the odds in your favor to have children so try not to worry too much.
