As a midwife we learn that at day 9 post-ovulation the blastocyst is only 0.1mm and almost completely implanted into the endometrium except for a closing plug of epithelium, so is well protected, and the corpus luteum being surrounded by connective tissue is quite resilient. But funnily enough as a hopeful mum to be my clinical knowledge didn't reassure me at all and I was very worried because when you have been waiting so long... those inner fears of yet again not being pregnant come up sigh...
SO I decided to do the test now instead of waiting and IT WAS POSITIVE! SO I REALLY AM 9 DAYS PREGNANT! And freaked myself out over nothing it turns out, so bucketloads of *BABY DUST* to the rest of you, really wishing you well!
YAY!!! And thanks for giving me a space to share my fears... and now my joy...!
