HSG results

Hello Dr. Q,

I was just informed that my test was "fine" but that there is a possibility of a peritubal adhesion or polyp near left fallopian tube. There was no dialation or seepage, so they said there MAY be a blockage, but didn't say definitively. Right tube is normal and open.

What's your take on this?

Christine.. if the blockage would have been small the the dye should have pushed it out the way. I just had the HSG done at the beginning of the month. As long as u have one tube that is open and working then u can still get preggo.

Lets hope that both of them are open and working fine. Are they going to let u know for sure about the other one?

They would probably do laprascopy surgery to see it and then repair it. Good luck!

The other one is perfectly normal. And the tricky part is that they won't actually say that the left one is "blocked." Thanks for checking on me, Katie. :)

Christine.. but the dye will not always do that so if I was u I would call the doc and see what they really think.

Well, DH and I have an appt. with a fertility specialist next Thursday who will evaluate our entire situation, including my husband's mild motility issue. I bet this, plus his issue, is just enough to keep us from getting pregnant all this time. Bummer. :(

Dr. Q: What say you about this?

Tough to say without actually evaluating the HSG film...your RE after reviewing the films (make sure he/she does) can give a good opinion...
