Dr. Q-
I have an appt. with my GYN this evening to discuss the pain i have experienced since having the HSG done. The pain is persistent in my upper right abdominal area and worsens when i walk, laugh, cough, or sneeze. Not sure if there's a relationship between this current pain and having the HSG done, but hopefully i will find out soon. Any suggestions?
Also, i would like to take a second to thank you for your prompt response. As I am sure most members feel, I have been very anxious and scared out of my mind regarding my present circumstances. Therefore, I just wanted to express my immense gratitude to you for your time and expertise. Thank You!!

There is some truth to what your gyne is saying...sometimes there is proximal spasm of the tube, and this can be suspected if absolutely no dye goes through, so that in reality the tube may be open...
You may then be able to achieve a pregnancy on your own without intervention...even if I'm wrong and the tube is truly blocked, you still have one open tube...Once the sperm recovers, we usually give upto 6 months of Clomid to achieve a pregnancy...
