how to go about fertility testing?

i have no idea how to go about even getting started! do i just go through my regular doctor or do i have to look up an ob/gyn? and do you know of the cost in New Brunswick Canada, or if any of it is covered by medi care??

You do need to go to your Obgyn in order to get your fertility testing startes. He/she most likely will run a fertility workup for you and your husband, after these tests are evaluated they'll give you next steps which might include prescriptions under their care or visiting a Fertility Specialist (reproductive endocrinologist).
I'm almost positive in Canada the fertility workup is covered however not 100% sure and there are other members on this site who are from Canada who will be able to pitch in.
