I have been doing some research about chemical pregnancies, and how to prevent it. I just found out that unfortunately, a lot of women suffer this and that 50% to 60% of women suffer this without them knowing it, and that the possible causes are inadequate uterine lining, uterine abnormalities both congenital or acquired like fibroids, low hormone levels, luteal phase defect or certain infections. It also said that potential treatments can be Vitamin B6, progesterone cream and baby aspirin. Are all these information correct? Is it true that a chemical pregnancy is the clinical term used for a very early miscarriage? If that indeed was my case last cycle, what are ways to prevent it from happening again? Have an ultrasound to see if my lining is adequate for implantation? Are progesterone suppositories or creams only available by prescription? Thanks again, doc! :-)

For which, I'm totally Ok with Progesterone supplementation (has to be micronized, from a specialty pharmacy by Rx and taken vaginally or intramuscularly). Ultrasound may detect thin linings for which supplementation can be given, especially if Clomid is being taken (known for causing this sometimes). You can ask an RE to do and interpret, but this can be difficult to ask someone who is unfamiliar with this.
