I am a month shy of 34yrs. I conceived my son 2 years ago naturally on the first try. After trying for #2 sought help from RE and learned I have an FSH of 12 and slightly diminished Ovarian Reserve (I had 9 follies and I guess they want to see more than 10). I am in the middle of my 2WW post IUI but want to be prepared if I don't get my BFP. My IUI protocol was 100 mg clomid 3-7, 150 Follistim inject on day 9, trigger shot on day 11, IUI on day 13 w/ 2 "ready to go" follies. The dr. said he likes to give IUI 3 chances but will do whatever I want. I don't know if I should go straight to IVF or not??

Going straight to IVF is a personal decision after all medical and financial issues are considered..
One must consider that FSH values for those under 35 when elevated in some cases may not truly be accurate.. Especially if one is getting a different Antral Follicle Count (nine is not horrible) nor is getting two follicles with 150IU. Not saying there may may/not be ovarian reserve issues, but always good to consider when making final decisions
