How long to wait before testing

please wait until atleast 12 DPO. most accurate result on the day of missed period-14 DPO

Hope is right...I waited until 12 DPO, that's when I got my bfp. From what I can remember what Dr. Q said before, a blood test can detect it as early as 10 DPO.

Sounds like a plan! Doc office test prog. levels today and said they were high which was great and that there was no reason to think that i couldn't be preggo! Oh the excitment.. and nervousness!

when are you going to test ?

I guess I can technically test as early as wednesday but i think i will wait till the weekend. AF is expected sat or sun so i think i will do it sat. morning!!

Kelly, I had my IUI Tues. also. This 2ww sucks!! I want to test so bad. The test are on the dresser taunting me. Just wanted to say GREAT LUCK and I hope we both get BFP'S!! When are you going to test. I'm goona wait until Friday. ***BABY DUST****

Hi Vani, I'm not really feeling any different except for my hands. I know that sounds strange, but, when I was preggo w/ my dd had real bad Carple Tunnel Syn. Had to have surgery on both hands when she was 2 weeks old. The past 2 mornings have woken up to swollen and asleep hands, they kinda hurt too. What about you?

Oh, Vani BFP to you, I hope this is a great month for us all. I found out I was preggo w/dd on my b-day, July 29, 2004. So Hopefully July is the month. It would be great to find out again around the same time.

Thats great to be on the same timing as other people.. i feel like i am not waiting alone.. kelkel.. my test are on the bathroom counter taunting me too!!! If i can hold out till saturday i think i will feel best about the results that will be 12 DPO (i think - depending on when it actually occurred after the hcg shot) and 2-3 days shy of AF expected arrival! I notice that i have to pee a lot but haven't really been monitoring my fluid intake to know if it's really increased.. other than that no symptoms.. well my sister in law said that before she found out she was preggo she had increased cm that also felt like her period was flowing.. i am having that too.. so we will see.. I bought a pregnancy and newborn magazine the other day for the heck of it.. my husbands thinks i shouldnt think or talk about it!!

Kelly, That would make a great gift for your mom. Woke up this morning and my bb's are a little sore, hope it's not just in my mind. Saturday can't get here soon enough. You think buying magazines are bad, I've already started looking at crib bedding. I'm terrible. I hope we both have BFP'S, then maybe our due dates would be close!! Maybe sometime in April!!!

I am so excited to test.. no soreness for me yet.. but i usually have soreness this time prior to AF so maybe not having soreness is good! still have lots of cm so i hope thats a sign.. getting headaches too.. i feel like it could be possible that i am preggo but i really don't want to think about it b/c the let down is gonna be so bad if im not! Ok.. so we are both testing saturday and reporting here!!!

Kelly, I could not hold out any longer. I took one this morning and I got a very faint pos., then took one later this afternoon and it was neg. so i'm goona wait for fmu and try again. I have no patience at all. But, still hopefull, this is the month for us both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Kelly, I asked Dr. Q about the shot and he said by day its out of your system, he said it should be out by day 8. You can read what he said under Dr. Q or Ladies... Today I have a headache and feel sick to my stomach. My back hurts and my lower abdomin is sore. But who knows, sometimes I wonder if its all in my head. I really hope not. I'm gonna wait until Sat. too. (If I can?!?) I have no will power what so ever! Saturday morning we'll both wake up to two blue lines!!! It's going to happen. BFP to you and good luck!!!

kelkel.. good luck.. i read on a few different sites that it was 10-12 days so 8 days would be awesome.. i am still have no symptoms other than increased cm and on and off headaches.. can't wait to see the outcome.. considering waiting till sunday when its not such a crazy day and James and I can either enjoy the news together or comfort one another.. but again.. don't know if i can wait!!!

hey kelkel.. yeah i tested .. Got a big obnoxious single line.. so, no go... It was a long shot .. we are working with a super low count.. I'm suprisingly not as upset as i thought i would be.. i guess deep down i know its not gonna be that simple! I should be getting AF around tues. so if i don't see her by Thurs. I will test again.
