My partner and I have been trying for a baby for approx 8 months now.I know compared to some people that this isn't a long time.I would just like to know, after how long, when trying to conceive, should I wait before seeing a doctor to check that everything is ok.I just want to ensure that I am fertile and that my partner is too.Any ideas for things that could help when trying to conceive?I know that taking folic acid supplements is a good thing to do,I am taking Sanatogen Pro Natal (I think that's what it's called!) Is this the best thing to take or are there any better ones that you would suggest?

Nobody is considered infertilite until attempting for greater than 1 year or if >35 y/o, greater than six months if regular periods are present. Now, if you have been doing ovulation predictor kits and always had intercourse appropriately (ie, when it turned positive for 6 months), then you may want to visit a doc for all of the above forementioned circumstances just to make sure that all your and your husband's fertility tests are normal.
In your case, use predictor kits for the next 4 months, schedule an appointment in the mean time with an Ob or Re (may take that long to be seen) and you can always cancel if you get pregnant.
