How long should you wait to have another HSG?

Hi, katie. I am an RN in OBGYN, I thought I would try to answer your question for you. There is no limit to the amount of HSG's or the time that you need to have in between them. However, unless you have had an ectopic pregnancy, pelvic surgery or pelvic inflammatory disease since your last HSG you would not have developed a blockage. Are you seeing an RE? There should be other testing they can do to see why you are not getting pregnant. Do you know if you ovulate regularly? let me know if you have more questions

HI Katie, I am with megan on this one, I wouldnt have thought that you would require that test again if all looked okay the 1st time round. I know ttc is very ahrd especially when it goes on and on month after month. I myself had a hard ttc my dd years ago, it took a very long time approx 3 years, but there was nothing ever found to explain why I did not concieve. I was young so no invasive assisted efforts where explored at that time. However I did eventually concieve my dd and there after for no explainable reason i always got prego 1st try. Sending you lots of baby dust and hoping that you get your BFP very soon!!

Thanks ladies... I am seeing a RE and I have had all of the tests done.

My DH and I are fine. We have "Unexplained Fertility" but I wanted to make sure that there was no blockage somehow that has came about.

I do O on my own. Have had a lap done also and everything is ok.

So I assume that I am looking for any thing that might be hendering me from conceiving.

Hi Katie, I can sure relate to that and exact same cause as mine, but I did get prego eventually and so will you!

Thanks. I called my RE and left a message for the nurse to see if he thinks that it would be worth to have another HSG done.

And I also asked that if I do IUI next month can I do the HSG along with the IUI Ovulation Induction. I am now waiting to hear back from them to see what they say.

I hope that I dont have to do the IUI and HSG and I get a BFP this month but I have along way to go. I am only Cd6 today.. grrr!LOL!
