I am pregnant now 1 month after miscarrying. Friday my hcg was 59 and Prog was 25. Tuesday my hcg was 715 and prog 9! My dr. has me on the prog suppositories 1 (200 strength) at night every night. How long will it take to raise my prog.? I have read about others taking 2x's per day, can I take extra w/out it hurting anything? I had really bad cramps last night for the 1st time this pregnancy, they lasted off and on for about 5 hours, but no bleeding. They felt just like the cramps I was getting on the last miscarried pregnancy, should I worry, they are not near as frequent though.

The idea for suppositories isn't so much it raising blood values (which they may within a few minutes), but to increase the values inside the uterus, which is where it truly matters and may do this better via local effect

Along with Dr. Q... I am taking progesterone orally and vaginally, both 2 x a day. I have a history of really low progesterone and I have had several very early miscarriages b/c of it. I'm almost at week 6 now and my progesterone #s in b/w have not gone up a ton, although they are on the rise. My dr. said that the suppliments often aren't reflected in the b/w the same way your natural progesterone is. She said just trust that it's building the lining in your uterus if you're on the suppliments.
