Sperm can live up to 5 days in the woman's body.

Urination has no affect as urine comes from the urethra and during intercourse, sperm is deposited within the vagina.

I was told 4 days -- but nonetheless, urination doesn't affect possible insemination.

My doctor told me to give the sperm a little help to get up to that egg - stay laying on your back after sex and raise your hips (for example, with a pillow or two below your bum) ...

Good Luck

There is debate whether this actually helps.

I've heard 20 minutes. I've also had a doctor tell me it doesn't matter.

Not necessarily. Once inside you, if the sperm are going to enter your cervix, they leave the semen (liquid) and travel thru your cervical mucus anyway. The liquid does not go into the cervix.

And remember, even if both you and your husband are perfectly healthy, you have only a 20% chance of getting pregnant on any given month.
