How long does it take for progesterone to peak

Hi. Thank you for your answer to my question yesterday. It was very helpful. I ended up starting my period this morning. I was wondering, How long after ovulation would u expect to see your progesterone level be around 19? Is this something that jumps like a DAY after ovulation...or does it slowly rise for like a week?

The progesterone peak actually occurs right smack dab at the middle of the stable 14 day luteal phase...so it is said 7 days after ovulation...what we call a mid-luteal phase progesterone. It does take it a few days for it to reach a significant level and also slowly falls, so that a value around days 5-9 after ovulation should give a good enough value.
