Believe it or not, an IUI is no more painful than a regular Pap smear that is done with your gynecologist. A speculum is placed and a catheter containing the sperm is passed through the cervix and into the uterus. At most, some women may feel little cramps as the sperm is being injected, but in all, IUI's are very well tolerated.
Hi Mommy 2B, My 1st and 2nd IUI I don't feel any cramping at all however I experienced very bad cramped for 2 days and all things happened on the 3rd IUI are so different such as progrestrone level,3 follicles growing very well and unfortunately still not successful.
