How Do You Ladies Do It?

February 12, 2008

As most of you know, I just got my first +OPK yesterday, and I keep telling myself to quit worrying, it won't help me any, but I am absolutly about to go crazy, wanting to know if I will get PG this cycle. I've thought about it so much I think I've convinced myself that it's gonna happen this time. I keep getting these weird feelings in my stomach, and I don't know what they are, but I know it is too early to be experiencing any symptoms. I keep telling myself to keep temping, but I am scared of not seeing my temps rise, does that make any sense? I think I am going crazy. How do you ladies do this? I'm gonna go crazy, before two weeks are up. Any suggestions on how to pass the time?

One thing that helped it go quicker for me was actually temping, believe it or not. Gives you something to look forward to every morning. For the first few days i looked forward to seeing if it rises appropriately, then for the follwing few days i tried to look out for implantation dip, then the last week i looked for a triphasic pattern, etc. Might sound crazy, but it helped me some.

The 2ww is very annoying needless to say. But i tried not to read too much into any physical symptoms i had; didnt pay attention to every twinge or cramp, i would've driven myself crazy if i did. Good ol' Radiohead song goes "just cause you feel it, doesn't mean it's there" so true when it comes to 2ww symptoms lol :)

Hi larlee, what I do is take it day by day second by second...sometimes I have good days and have bad days and really good days and really bad days. I think the major thing is having support system with you and keeping you mind and body very busy. If you are having a down day you have the right to have a down day but make it better by doing something that gives you joy. Surround yourself with fun stuff and fun and interesting ppl too. I find myself when I'm around strong ppl it makes me stronger and I want to improve. Plus I enjoy being around animals, nature but I do enjoy the city life also. Get yourself busy into a new hobbie. Learn about new things. Also get into helping others...make a support group in your local area if there is none...there are loads of women out there that need to learn from your story and you can learn from there stories and that can give you strenght. Keep you mind and your heart full and when bad things come your way for can say wow I can handle this much better because I'm stronger and going to get thru this no matter what because you are an important person Laralee. Just know you are talented Laralee and bring that talent to others and share with the world how wonderful and lovely you are Laralee. Also rembember during this trying times you are needed in this world and we need you on this site. Sending you big (((hugs))) love...

LaraleeI know what you are feeling and you are right about how hard it is. I honestly don't know sometimes how I get through the 2ww. I try to keep myself busy doing other things like going out with friends and keeping busy with work and stuff. That seems to help quite a bit. Good luck to you!

we just tumble thru somehow every single time - its sooo hard, at least when you are waiting to ovulate you have something to do - testing and such. I hate the 2WW, each month it does not get faster or easier. Try to plan something for the middle of it - like a pedicure or a massage or a class you can take to keep looking forward to something mid 2WW, it helps a bit. Good luck to you and baby dust!!
