ok got a question took a first responce test today and got a bfn, ok 3 months ago my af came on the 30th, the next month she came on the 28 and last month she came on the 26th, so in all aspect she should have came on the 24th right this month? i don't know if i am just not prego or if the doc will have to do a beta for it to show up, is it still to early for a hpt to show up pos? i stillhave no signs of af or anything, i know that it goes off of when ovulate, and i did not use opk this month but i think i Od on or around the 10th or 11th or so, must have been, so i don't know what to think, I guess my question is how often do hpt not work and you have to have a blood test for it to show up? how early can you run a blood test for it to show up?

HPTs are accurate for the most part 14 DPO. But again the DPO depends on ovulation and the only way to confirm us OPK or U/S. Since you have not, I would just say you miscalculated the O date and you could be lesser than 14 DPO in which case the HPT is not going to be 99% accurate. Ofcourse you hear about women on the internet who did not register a HPT uintil 8 W or so, thats very very rare mostly because of mistimed DPO, only a true way to know is to have a blood test. Blood test can detect HCG as early as 10-9 DPO.

hi im 15 dpo did a hpt this morning bfn my af shouldve come today 10th oct i keep going really hot and fluie type symptoms i know i ovulated on the 25th sep and we bd on the 26th sep i nearly threw up this afternoon but also have mild gas and my boobies are painful and tender i do normaly get tender bbs just before af arrives but but mine have been tender since i ovulated surley if af was on the way my progesterone should be dropping now so my bbs dont feel so tender and kind answers would b nice thank you.

also wen i have been pregnant in the past i had 3 misscarrages my hpt showed up at 9-12 dpo just seems werid that it hasnt shown up early this time if i am i used clear blue (not digital).

also i forgot to mention that i have had slight cramping since i ovulated so i though af is on the way .

It really depends on the person. With my son, I showed up on an hpt the day my period was due. With this pregnancy, I was nearly 2 weeks late for my period before it showed up! I took one aft3er 9 or 10 days late and it was negative, and it didn't show up for another 5 days!
