HOT and COLD FLASHES PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DR Q, and Ladies- I am 31 years old and more and more I notice I am experiencing hot and cold flashes. This month has been the worst.. One minute I am freezing with goose bumps then the next I am sweating and pulling off layers of clothes.. I am right now at the start of my AF and I am concerned about this..What are the reasons for a younf girl to have this?

I have been TTC for a long time and have had lots of blood work concerning my fertility, so far all checks out fine..

I am not sure this is normal for a young girl like myself to be experiencing the same symptoms my mom is ( she is 57!) Please help me...Is there something seriously wrong with me, if so what should I ask to be tested for.. thanks

I think your ok! I am very much the same..the are times when I can't get enough clothes off I feel like I am melting then others I am frezzing..even when it's warm out..I'v had lots of blood work done and everthing seems fine and am prego now too.. I think the body is just a funny thing..Good luck hun

If your FSH is normal, the other thing to consider would be your TSH for your Thyroid, make sure this is normal also...

Clomid use can definately cause this

Thanks DrQ- It is probably the clomid, I have noticed it more in the last 2 months.. this month being the worst.

But I will ask the RE to re test my FSH ans TSH levels thanks :)

Hi Caryn,

It's definitly the clomid. I had the same thing! I would sweat buckets all the time and then all of a sudden be freezing! So dont worry hun! I am so sorry about AF but I know it will happen for you soon sweetie! Hang in there! xoxo

Hey Caryn- clomid clomid clomid. I was a hot and cold mess when I was on that! It had me all wacked out every which way possible! So I think honestly its from that :)

Hi Caryn, I definitely think it's the Clomid, too. This was my fist cycle and I noticed incredible hot flushes, especially during the night. I would wake up soaked and have to strip off my pj's! I spoke to my Dr about it and she said it's normal, and it is due to progesterone. My dose has been increased to 150g this cycle and the Dr said to expect more hot flushes, so please don't worry honey.
