Thanks Dr Q, But with the blood tests results beng normal does this mean i am ovulating or going to ovulate?? i have still not had a period could there be something else wrong? i am going to the doctors tommorrow is there anything i should ask him or say as i am bit confused as to whats going on with my body!! thanks for yor answer and can i just say this website is brilliant as so much advice for all us women with our fertility problems,
Hi Tara,
you still most likely haven't ovulated because of the DepoProvera and this is very much normal. Your blood tests probably did not say whether you did or did not ovulate. Soon enough, you will start to ovulate and have regular periods and then we hope it wont take you too long to conceive. Good luck, and please keep us posted

Hi I had a progesterone test and its was only at level 1 so i was not ovulating because of this lack of progesterone so he presribed progesterone tablets and also clomid, i am now currently on my fourth cycle my progesterone levels are rising so the doc said hopefully soon i should fall pregnant i am trying to do everything i can to help it along, what was the results from your blood tests??? and what hormone levels did they check for??
Hi, well i had my progesterone checked last cycle and my doctor said i was all back to normal, yippee! so this is my first cycle without clomid since oct last year! i will have another blood test this cycle just to confirm i have ovulated but hopefully fingers crossed my body is wrking on its own again!!
don't be scared honey! Clomid is not bad at all i had very little side effects from it (just tiredness!) and i defo think it helped to get me working again!
Can you tell me when your last shot was and if you have started the clomid?? and if you need anymore info please get in touch and hope you have a lovely easter weekend!!

My last shot was 10/06 and no he did not start me on clomid. I will be taking the birth control pills for couple of months to see if that will help. My doctor is really good with infertility problems so I'm going to take his advise.
If this doesn't work and get my cycle back to normal then he will be placing me on clomid.
Thanks for replying back and I hope your easter was wonderful too.

Your Depo Provera shot (assuming you got it in June) is still in your system, and will be there until mid September. Thereafter, there is usually some delay in the resumption of your menstrual cycles (ovulation) so that your ability to try and get pregnant can be delayed.
I'm not sure how many GPs are good at checking fertility hormones, or to know they should be drawn on the third day of your menstrual cycle, which I don't believe you may have had one yet...
For now Tara, we have to wait until the Depo Provera is out of your system entirely and you start menstruating (ovulating) on your own. You can then recheck your fertility hormones.
Otherwise, only injectable gonadotropins given by an RE can help you at this point until you start ovulating, as Clomid may not.
