I called today and all I asked for was a hormone level check because I have Medicaid and I didnt thimk they would cover it if I said that I wanted it for infertility. I have had trouble in the past with my progesterone levels. I have been getting hot flashes too.
Sorry this was concerning the levels of FSH, LH, prolactin and TSH. Are they going to be able to tell how my progesteron and estrogen levels are with his test?
For fertility, they check different hormone levels at different times of the month. For progesterone, they checked mine 8 days after ovulation. I don't remember when they checked estrogen.
TSH & Prolactin are often not checked unless there is reason to suspect an issue (irregular periods, and/or lactation).
So, you probably won't be able to get all of this done in one blood draw.
I had all these tests done in 1 blood draw, FSH,LH TSH, Prolactin, Estradiol, Progesterone. I too get hot flashes but all my levels are within normal limits except my tsh is slight high and progesterone is within normal limits but is the lowest number on the scale of normal. I am hoping I am not perimenapausal as I am only 26yrs old.
