High alkalinaty in semen analysis (Doctors please)

Hi Maria! An abnormally high and even a low semen alkalinaty (ph) can kill sperm or affect their ability to move or to penetrate an egg. A high pH level can also mean an infection which needs to be treated. An infection could also be the reason for the lower sperm count because a pH out of the normal range can be harmful to the sperm. A urologist can test to see if there is infection and what can be done about it. Make sure he visits a urologist for a follow up sa. Keep us posted and ***babydust***

My OBGYN recomends to go RE and perform an IUI.

obgyn is not a expert on the sperm issues it's best for him to make a appt for him to be better reviewed for this condition....it will help in the long run for the both of you:)))) and his overall health also:))))

Of course you are right angel but all the tests take a long time. Why not perform an IUI first and than got to urologist and do all the tests.

Maria I so understand...my dh and I have been fighting with dr's for years with some issues and finally got it sorted about 2 wks ago...our battle has been 2 yrs now and I so understand the pain of it all....now just remember you can do all of that at the same time...I would fight to the end of the earth to make sure my dh is healthy...I don't let anyone or anything stop me....lol
