my last period was on 17th Aug and we bd'ed alternate days frm 23rd to 3rd sept. 5 days b4 my due periods, occasionaly it bleeds in the CM. Is it normal? Plus the breasts are a little sore since last 20 days. IS it correct to use a HPT on 14th? or is is just PMS?

if you are regularly seen by a gyno yearly and have normal paps, then bleed may be ok, but only a doc exam can determine this...
Sore breasts can be due to many things, Progesterone after ovulation is one of them, a little long that it's 20 days,and if any questions or lumps/bumps felt, please see a doc for an eval
