Here we go again... CD 1... Anyone else?

August 05, 2008

Well, I find myself once again on CD1 of my cycle... so that is really exciting, not. Anyone want to join me this month?

I will be doing another round of clomid this month, not sure if it will be 50 or 100mg. I'll keep you posted

August 05, 2008

I read your other posts and I really identify with what most of you said. I also tend to let my babyplanning enterfere with other plans such as vacations etc. but I'm getting much better. It will happen when it is our time, and surely we will see our BFP's soon. I've had 1 chemical, 1 ectopic, and 2 failed ivf's, but after a short break, hubby and I are ready to try again. I have some fallopian tube problems, but lately I've been wondering if clomid might help me at least a little bit, I'm 35 so maybe with egg quality or even TWINS!!! But I don't know, I think it will be hard to convince my doctors since I have physical problems, not endocrine.

Still, this is an exciting cycle for us... I'm scheduled for a saline sono(with a different doctor) and an HSG, so we're getting back on track.

Would love to join you, I'm on cd4.

Hi Maele... glad to have you here. I went to the doc last night and he decided to stick with 50mg of clomid for me this month but also gave me a rx for 100mg next month... then he said that if that doesn't work it will be on to the RE. It feels like this is taking forever!! lol... oh well I am on CD 2 today and I will start my clomid tomorrow!

August 06, 2008

Good luck! is this your second cycle on clomid? I know it seems to take forever, but hang in there. My cousin tried timed intercourse for 6 months, clomid, then three iui's, then 3 iui's with clomid, and just when she had given up... BFP with twins on her last iui!!! She's my biggest cheerleader, she tells everyone who is going through this not to give up, it's hard but totally worth it!

August 06, 2008

Yep ... I'm back to CD one also. Did Serophene from day 2 to 6 of my last cycle, but unfortunately no luck this time. I think our timing with BD was a bit off. Oh well, we're hoping for better luck this round.

August 06, 2008

hey back on cd1 tommorrow ill start third round of clomid

August 06, 2008

What type of ovulation predictor do you use?

August 06, 2008

I have used OPK's and a ovulation microscope.

I just wanted to say that it is so amazing how you can bounce back every month and go from feeling totally depressed on CD1 to feeling hopeful for the new month on CD2... I am getting excited to start my second round of clomid this month! I start tomorrow. I hope month 14 will do the trick for me!!

August 06, 2008

That's true. I'm anxious to start the next round too. I also use an ovulation microscope. According to the microscope I ovulated about a week ago, which seems a bit late to me ... but there's always next month, right?

August 07, 2008

I just bought a pack of generic opk's, couldn't bring myself to spend the 50 bucks or so for the digital ones even though everyone swears by them...maybe next month I'll be feeling less cheap lol. Also I've been charting, I like it because it reassures me that I do ovulate even when I have no symptoms.

Speaking of symptoms, has anyone tried anything for better cm?

KCS-what is serophene, is it like clomid or femara?

August 07, 2008

Serophene is just another name for Clomid really ... exact drug. I really should muster up the discipline for charting. I bought the thermometer and everything, but whenever I remember, I'm already up and about. I'm going to put the thermometer in a conspicuous place right now.

As for CM, would you believe I've had excellent CM since taking the drugs? That's contrary to what I've heard but last month I practically had to wear pantiliners 24/7 around ovulation time.

August 07, 2008

I have only been on clomid for one cycle so far and I didn't dry out too much while on it. I did buy a pack of pre-seed and we are going to try it this month. I have heard of so many people that have gotten pregnant their first month with pre-seed so I am thinking it can't make my chances any worse.

I use the internet cheapie OPK's and pregnancy tests. My only complaint with the pregnancy tests is that you can almost always see an evap line on them... when you stare really hard... in the right light... with the stick as close to your eyes as you can comfortably get it...lol.

August 07, 2008

Yeah, I know about those. LOL

August 08, 2008

I want drugs! I'm afraid that the hsg will show nasty tubal problems and they'll recommend ivf, but I really want the drugs, plus it can't hurt that's for sure. As for evap lines, I plan to never see one again, since I plan to never test again, at least not until I'm months late and/or getting very fat!

August 08, 2008

lol, that is priceless Maele. I am a POAS'aholic... I always get trouble from my husband because I test at least 5 times every month!!!

I am not feeling the greatest today I am I hoping that it is just because the clomid is doing it's job. Just crampy and a backache. :(

August 08, 2008

hey i just got a neg. blood test today 10dpo , they told me to quit my prometruim and i should start in a couple of days. So i could be on CD 1 in the next couple of days. thinking about taking a break from RE and just givin it to god. I beleive it will be in his time anyway. baby dust and sticky glue to everyong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

August 08, 2008

Aww, sorry to hear that Trisha. I am suprised that they would tell you to quit so early... although I guess a blood test should show by now. What fertility treatments are you doing? Is it possible that you may have ovulated late?

Well, if AF decides to show herself you are welcome to join us, however I hope there is still a chance for you this month!!

~~~Baby Dust~~~
August 08, 2008
hey rachel, I actually have no troulbe getting preg. i just keep having m/c's. So they have me on prometruim to help sustain the preg. when it happens. I am suprised they told me to quit meds too, i thought you could implant up to 12dpo and then make hcg. It was only 10dpo today so i wonder if it was a false neg. We saw on ultrasound i ovulated b/t 25th and 28th, we did BD on 24th,26th, and 27th. Dont see how we missed. How are you doing? have you started your next round? I will keep you in my prayers and lots of baby dust and sticky glue to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and everyone on this sight.
August 08, 2008
The doc doubled my Clomid dosage this month. With that and the OPK, hopefully we should be successful this time.
August 08, 2008
Oh it's so stressful trying to time the bd! If you do it too much you might use up the babymakers and if you don't you might miss the big O, I feel for you Trisha, and I too would have questions about stopping the meds although they must know what they're doing. I felt better after taking a little break from the RE, but if all you need is a little help and it's not too invasive, you might want to hang in there. Have a good weekend everyone and do something fun!
August 09, 2008
Well, this is CD4 of cycle two of Clomid. The side effects for now are mostly mild ..... except for the hot flashes! OMG!
August 10, 2008
I am on CD 6 today and have 2 more clomid pills for my second round. The hot flashes were really bad last month but I haven't noticed them so far this month. I haven't noticed any side effects yet this month, not sure if that is a good thing or not...
August 12, 2008
ugg, these fertility drugs are making me crazy! One minute I'm happy the next I feel like crying. I am also snaping at DH a lot more than usual. He has been so patient though... he is such a sweety! I can take my 1st OPK either tomorrow or the day after! Yeah! I am really hoping that the OPK's will show a true positive this month as I never got one last month.
How are all of you doing?
August 12, 2008
Oh dear, sorry to hear about your mood swings. Today is my last Clomid dose for this cycle. So far, it hasn't really affected my moods, but the hot flashes .... jeez! (did I mention the hot flashes?) I'm planning to do my OPK on CD9, which is Thursday.
August 12, 2008
LOL... I know what you mean about the hot flashes. I have been having them again this month. I work in a bank and the other day my co-worker and I were dealing with some night deposits and one minute I was comfortable, then the next I was like "oh! It is sssooo hot in here!". She looked at me like I was crazy!
August 12, 2008
Yeah, my husband does that all the time. LOL
