I am 29 yrs old and my husband and I have been married for 1 year :) I have a 9 yr old wonderful son from a prior relationship. My husband is sick and just recently was told he would need to start a treatment that could make him infertile. In light of this information my we decided to do sperm cryopreservation prior to his tx. Unfortunetaly, it turns out his sperm is extremely low and was not healthy enough to freeze (hence why we were unsuccessful at ttc naturally.) Just when we thought all was lost we found a wonderful Dr. that offered us a chance at IVF. This whole experience has been just one big whirlwind for my husband and I since we had to exbedite the IVF process in order for my husband to start his tx! We only get this one shot and we are praying that it will work for us and we will be able to expand our little family :) Lots and lots of baby dust to everyone!!!!
10/14/9 - ER=13 mature eggs (which was perfect because we were only able to collect 13 viable spermies!) 6 fertilized :)
10/17/9 - 3 day transfer for 3 healthy embies!!! Two were grade 3 and one grade 4 out of a 5 point scale where 5 is the best. Sadly non were left to freeze.
10/28/9 - BFP!!! 1st beta test is 143!!!
10/31/9 - 2nd beta is 363 - more than doubled :)
11/13/9 - 6 week u/s - one sticky little bean measuring 6 wks and 2 days :) H/B 120 bpm EDD 7/7/9...YAY!!!
