Heavy Bleeding in Early Pregnancy

KellyK, yes and I assume your doc is aware, of this... there have been a few gals on here who have been experiencing a subchorionic bleed.. I would suggest if it gets worse, go to the Doc or ER just to make sure.. especially if you exp. cramping....

How heavy is heavy and what did your doc tell you about it? Maybe it was just the irritation from having the exam yesterday that is causing the bleeding?

I would deff take it easy and not do much of anything until you know more tho.

Good luck with it all - im sure this is very scary so try to be calm.

In February I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks LMP. Started about 5 days early with pink on the tp when I whiped. The blood gradually got redder and then heavier...didn't have much cramping at all...cervix closed the whole time.By the 6th day...I had an ultra sound at 8 am...saw the heartbeat...the Dr said "so far so good, let's see what happens". By noon that day my bleeding had seriously progressed and by 6pm that evening I had a complete miscarriage. So just to let you know...there is no "correct" way that ppl miscarry...and I've learned that no symptoms "mean" anything.....anything can happen at any time. With that being said though, there are many women who bleed throughout their entire pregancy and deliver a healthy baby. Pregnancy is a mystery...any doctor will tell you this. we don't know why babies go or stay.

My doctor says there should be more than just a little sac visible on u/s by now so based on that and the fact that the bleeding is now as heavy as it is, (I've used about 3 pads today) he thinks I'm having a miscarriage. I appreciate all the support though.

I'm sorry to hear that. Let's still hope for the best of course. This is a really hard time for any woman. I know, but there is nothing we can do. If a loss will occur...it is inevitable.

I am so sorry you are going through this....I have gone through two miscarriages and each one was different. The first one at 10 weeks and had seen at heartbeat at 6wks, at 8 wks got to hear the heartbeat. Then I started with just seeing pink tinge on TP, I thought it was from having the vaginal u/s, and I also had a subchoronic bleed. I hardly bled except for a few drops here and there but I did do bedrest. Then it started to get more but I still hoped it would be ok, after a week from the original few drops I started getting cramps and pain, heavier bleeding. It took me a week though to go through the miscarriage. The 2cd time I was only at 5weeks and just started bleeding with some cramping. It didn't take as long. I am so sorry....please keep us posted...

Sorry to hear that you are going through such a painful experience. My heart goes out to you and your family. I have had 2 chemicals and that was painful. May the lord give you the strength you need to get through this and bless you with a beautiful miracle very soon:)
