I went to the Dr. on Friday 1/16 and i found out i am pregnant, she estimated I am about 4 weeks considering when my last period was.
I have had some discomfort/cramps during the week, and thats what made me go to the dr and i was also 2 days late for my period. The dr had me go and have 2 different u/s done and when she called me later that night she said there was no heartbeat.... I have NOT had any spotting/blood/discharge nothing like that....
Is it nornal to have some cramps early on? and Can they really be positive its a miscarriage at just 4 weeks?
The dr just seemed so for sure thats what was going to happen, she told me to expect bleeding today or tomorrow....
I go to a OBGYN next week, my bloodwork came back with quantative HCG level of 1584...
Any advice would be great!
Thanks in advance!!!!

Also, a baby's heart begins to beat sometime in your 5th week of pregnancy... and you won't be able to hear it on a doppler until about your 10th week, maybe even a little longer.
I definately think you should get a second opinion... the whole thing just doesn't sound right to me. Sorry.
Oh and by the way, I had horrible cramps from before I found out I was pregnant, up until the end of my 5th week. So cramps can be completely normal as long as they are not accompanied by bleeding.
