having sharp pain in vagina 35 weeks preg

Does it feel like cramping? Like your having a period (I know that has been a while since your preggo)!

not really bad crams but sometimes i feel like i m gonna start my periods soon.this happens at some diff time.Sometimes like some one is pushing needle from out o inside my cervix/vagina.it goes away after some time

i m into my 35 th week pregnancy

i cant tell you anything from personal experience but when my sister was pregnant she said she always knew when she was dilating b/c of the needle sharp pains in her vagina.

It sounds like you have early signs of labor. You may want to call your doctor. When I went into labor with my son, I had extremely painful cramping. Do you feel like your having contractions? It seems as though you could be...

i dont know how contraction feels sorry for that.I do feel pressure sometimes walking when i m in mall.tightning and abdomen getting harder to one point.i am worried.

Contractions feel like bad cramps to the 100th degree! The fact that you feel like your being stabbed could be contractions. Your abdomen tightening is also another sign. Your still early (35 weeks) so they could be braxton hicks. As long as they come and go you might be ok. I would call your OB just to be certain though.

Venus - I have felt the cervical/vaginal pain you describe as well. I know Sam has been feeling it too. It think I started noticing at around 36 weeks, i just figured to was my cervix dilating or thinning or whatever. I dont think its a sign of labor though, as I am 40 weeks on monday and still no labor here! As always, if you are worried call your doc, but im sure you are fine. :)

Ashlee, you said that as if she was in danger of giving birth any second! The pains she is describing sound normal to me. I've been having them for weeks and still no baby here. :)

Venus, of course if you are in a lot of pain or feel like labor has begun then you should call your OB and see if they want you to go to Labor and Delivery at the hospital - IF you need to be seen it would be there, not the ER...but from what you have described, you are feeling things that are completely normal this far into pregnancy.

Try to relax and see how you feel in a few hours. :)

my sis delivered at 37 weeks and i want to say she started feeling those about 2 weeks prior. good luck at your doc appt.

Venus, it could actually be pressure of the baby on the cervix.. I had that a lot from about 34+ weeks.... Also, it's my understanding that round ligament pain can sometimes send referral pain to the vagina. Probably a good idea to talk to the dr if you are feeling concerned, to at least get peace of mind

hi venus, i had this with my 2 boys , it turned out to be the baby turning head down and preassure from the head. also if the babys head is in the engaged possition it will feel very uncomfy and as u described. when you go to your next check up ask them to feel baby position. its not a bad thing to have head down and engaged at all, stleast u know he/she wont be breach :)

Hey Venus....I had something similar. I would get it when walking or over doing stuff. Maybe jsut take a break if you are getting it. Please take care....we don't want any preterm babies!! :) Can't wait to hear what the doc says.
