have a question about prometrium, temps & hpt's

I am 14dp/iui and taking prometrium 200mg vaginally 3x/day. I have been charting my temps each morning and they have been above my cover line. I tested 12dpo & yesterday and got a BFN. I was to return to my RE yesterday for bloodwork--but I have been out of town since Tuesday night and have just return back at 6p & they closed at 5p.I have a couple of questions for anyone who has taken prometrium: 1--will prometrium continue to make your temps stay high even if you are not preg? 2--what is the lastest CD that I can test and be sure of the results? 3--will I have to stop the premetrium if I am not preggo to get my period?

Prometrium may be able in some to keep temps up, and an hpt should turn positive by 14dpo, and most would discontinue to do so then if BFN...but let your doc know before doing so, which we hope isn't the case!!!

Hi Tami,

1. Yes Prometrium will keep ur temperature above the cover line.

2. When did u get ur IUI? The day of ovulation or day before/after? 14 days after ovulation should give you a pretty good reading. I would say give it another 3-4 days and retest.

3.Some women spot while on prometrium but u have to stop the pill to get ur full period. U need to do this after ur Dr confirms u are not pregnant or atleast u discuss the outcome of the HPT with her.

Hope, I had an trigger shot on the 16th and the IUI on the 17th of April--that should make me 14dpo/iui today--right?

That would be 15 DPO and 15 DP-IUI today.
