Ok so I'm going be having CVS(Chorionic villus sampling), a prenatal test that detects chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome, as well as a host of other genetic disorders. The doctor takes cells from tiny fingerlike projections on the placenta called the chorionic villi and sends them to a lab for genetic analysis.
So I want to know has anyone had that testing before and what was your experience?!
Hi Greatful, no I did not have the CVS done, I had the nuchal translucency test done and the results came back so great that I did not need to do further testing like the CVS. I had the amnio at the very end of my pregnancy but just to see if the lungs were developed enough for him to be delivered early since all the u/s's were saying he was measuring at 41wks when I was only 37wks.
