Gynocologist or Directly to the RE

What is Estradiol and Prolactin procedures? Thank you for answering the question Dr Q. i am going to call my doctor on friday but i was wondering due to my age 41 would it be wise just to go to the RE doctor or can the high risk oB doctor order the tests? The reason i am asking is i am very comfortable wiht my regular doctor and i am sure i can tell him the urgency but RE are booked but they are in the same office so if i need to go downstairs to the RE i rather go as soon as possible unless my regular Ob can do it as well. It definately will save some money for the time being.. Yes unfortunately i believe we may have to do Ivf as well but it is okay. I just got a raise today!!!!!!! So now i will have extra for what is needed! The most important thing right now is to make sure we are able to conceive. Thanks for your help!!
