You don't have to reschedule. In fact, if the RE does an ultrasound, it is preferable you be on your period as it gives us a great assessment as to your "ovarian health".
Anytime is Ok to be seen, as usually it all depends on availability, especially if you already had infertility blood work drawn up for the RE to review. An ultrasound can be done anytime during the cycle also, but it is always best to see the ovaries while you're on your period.
Thanks for the prompt response. It is a relief to know that an RE will do u/s during our period although it's kind of "messy". What additional observation can we make on ovaries on our period?
Most REs will do what's called an Antral Follicle Count (AFC) which gives us an estimate of your ovarian reserve and how you may respond to medications.
