Getting pregnant after Yasmin Pills

Woman_7
Muna Al...

June 23, 2009

I'm planning to get pregnant, and I just stop taking Yasmin pills. I used to have regular periods (age=15) but then I took contraceptive pills to reduce acne on my skin. When I stopped the treatment, my period stopped (I had PCOS) as well. So I was back to Yasmin.

Now I want to get pregnant, and I want my hormones to get back to normal. Is there any natural herbs that you recommend or any medicine that I can take to regulate my periods and help me to get pregnant.

I very appreciate your help.

yours sincerely,

Muna Almazidi

Hi Muna...usually with PCOS it is difficult to get pregnant without the help of medicines. I too have PCOS and dont know of any herbs to regulate my periods naturally. BCP is a good way to keep menstruating regularly if not ttc.

For ttc and you are overweight try reducing some weight and it might help get your periods naturally and in turn making you ovulate. In some pcos cases reducing as less as 5% of body weight has helped them getting periods and pregnancy.

If none of this helps then consult your Dr for fertility advices.
