Did any of you ever have gestational diabetes throughout your entire pregnancy (or close to it)?
Because of my family history of diabetes and the fact that I was diagnosed pre-diabetic before my pregnancy, they had me do a 1 hour glucose screen at my appointment on Friday. I just got a call from the nurse that I "failed" my 1 hour screen (was supposed to be under 139 and mine came back at 148), so I have to go in on Saturday and do a 3 hour test to determine if I have gestational diabetes (already). I don't mind drinking the drink (I actually kind of like it), but I am not looking forward to being poked a million times and having to sit in the lab for 3 hours straight. Oh well though, my mom is coming with to keep me company.
If the test comes back that I do have gestational diabetes (I'm only 7 weeks 4 days today), what will happen?
