Generic Baby lotion

I really love the johnsons baby lotion with lavendar. Hope really loves the burts bees lotions. There is also something called Aquafor that is more like a vaseline you can rub on him and that stuff is like a miracle and I do believe they also have a baby line :) Are you bathing him everynight? If so, try to skip a day and do it every other day for the next week.

Yes I love Burts Bee because my baby is alergic to everything else..Aquafor is great for dry skin. It really kept the skin soft,I got the baby line which is like petroleum jelly, the only drawback is its not lotion and kinda stays on ur skin. Its Eucerin-Aquafor abt $8.99 at walgreens esp for babies. THey have the same for adults too. Yup as sarah says dont bathe everyday dries the skin completely even if u lotion him

Nope.. not bathing him every night..his last bath was Sunday night and its Tuesday now... I do have some of the aquafor baby stuff.. a little sample tube. I'll try using that on the dry patches later!

I have some but haven't used it yet. I will let you know when I do. I used the Bedtime Bath Johnstons with lavender. He smells so good! And we do bathe every night. It just seems to be a good routine for us. And surprisingly as long as we lotion him good he hasn't gotten any dry skin! KNock on wood though!! :)

I use lavendar lotion but its a generic brand.. same stuff but different brand... my normal baby lotion is also a generic brand.. I just wonder if the name brand johnson's is better?

Honestly............I bet not. So much of that stuff is made in the same factories but just packaged by a different company with a different label. If you think it may be better why not get a sample bottle and compare. I'm always up for little test trial! :) LOL!

HI Meghan, the ingredients are the same in both the name brands & generic brands. Just read the list on the back to make sure.

Meghan is it just patches of dry skin? Could be exzema?? (spelling on that one??lol)

yes sarah could be right, patches of really dry skin, some are redish could be Eczema...My DS has that you can find his patches behind the knees, elbows, on his back, some on his thighs.. they flare up in hot and cold weather.. we use Aquaphor on them works awesome!

It is just patches.. on his thighs and elbows. Its not red though. It doesn't look like eczema to me.. but, who knows... I guess it could be? I put some of the burts bees stuff on it tonight. If they are still there tomorrow i'll try the aquaphor.. thanks ladies
