Not to be graphic, but I have read that cervical mucos before ovulation has a scent to drive a man wild. Not only may you look good, you may also smell hot, hot, hot! It has been found that women smell more attractive to men when they are in the ovulatory phase of their cycle than when this fertile window has passed. You may think that nobody knows you're ovulating but those tell-tale pheromones give the game away.
You are not alone, I have the same issue. It's actually how I know when I'm ovulating. I would say that if you have deep concerns about it, you can discuss it with your doctor. It's good that you know how your body reacts during different days of your cycle.

Mmmm..is it a foul odor like maybe an infection or just something you define as "unpleasant"? It sounds like this is the norm for you during ovulation time. You can always check in with your doctor just to make sure there is no underlying problem. I don't know your exact situation, however, a lot of us ladies think we smell unpleasant during certain times of our cycles, but what we define as unpleasant may actually be the norm for us without there being any problems. Like I mentioned before, I also have a different smell when I'm about to ovulate and I like you, I wouldn't necessarily describe mine as a "sweet" smell like I read earlier..but its definately a smell that both myself and hubby recognize as being close to ovulation.. Again, check in with doctor if you have concerns.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.

My husband describes the smell as musky, I think it smells sweet, but either way there is a smell to it. You will often produce more cervical mucus around ovulation as well especially after sex. This may be what people describe as the "sex smell." I think you are fine as long as it doesn't smell foul, become clumpy, and no itching or burning.

There is definitely a smell when you ovulate, I'm sure it's stronger on some women than others. I'm TTC and have PCOS therefore never really know when (or if) I ovulate, but in trying to track it I've kept up with my CM this cycle and kept getting frustrated that my ovulation tests were negative at the 14-19 day mark after my period. Yesterday (24 days past mensus) I noticed a slight smell, I always think of it as a hormonal smell but I don't know where I get that term from, as I am not sure what hormones smell like lol...Phermones is a much more accurate description. Anywho, I took an ovulation predictor test and viola! Ovulating! So I'm glad that I finally made the tie to that smell and ovulation, hopefully it will help me tremendously in the future.

It could be your smelling your "scent' . Men are engineered to go crazy for this particular scent. It makes them want to bed dance like crazy at "O" time. Its natures way of ensuring the species procreates. As long as there isn't any itching ,burning or other symptoms of an infection your good.
