fsh levels, what do they mean?

Ok this is my second round on clomid(50mg) and I'm also taking metformin(500mg) everyday. Now I'm on cd 25 and on cd 23 I was suppose to get my progesterone levels done, but for some odd reason my doctor had them check my fsh levels and I'm trying so hard to find out why. I have looked online and I can't seem to find out why she would do that test on cd 23.

Can anyone please help and tell me why?

I don't even know what the results mean(4.67).

I won't be able to see my doctor til next week and this is driving me crazy.
