Ok I have been on clomid 150mg and ovidrel for about 4 cycles, 2 with iui and no success. Hubby's count was very high for 2nd iui. 400 million and still a BFN !!!!!!! This cycle RE wants me to take the clomid 100mg for 5 days and than do follistim pen for about 4 days afterward. than i guess I would do the ovidrel trigger shot when the follicles were ready. How will this increase my chances? is there anything else i should be using? Any help, advice, success stories etc would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

I am on a similar IUI protocol as you (100mg Clomid CD4-8, Follistrim for about 4 days afterward, and Ovidrel) My 1st 2 cycles I was just on 50mg Clomid with Ovidrel. The sperm count was excellent and I produced some nice follicles, but still got a BFN. RE decided to increase dosage and add injectibles to help me superovulate more and slightly increase egg quality to increase the success. Your doctor will advise you of anything else you may need to do or change should this cycle fails. I have found thru tons and tons of research on infertility that injectibles may increase your chances of success since there more "aggressive". For example, my RE's nurse told me last week at the beginning of my 3rd cycle that a patient taking clomid that has 4 mature follicles is of no real concern to them...HOWEVER, a patient takinig injectibles with 4 mature follicles is a potential concern for multiples. Nonetheless, I strongly believe that it depends on the individual and the timing. I've read several success stories from women just taking 50mg of clomid in addition to those who took injectibles. How many mature follicles did you have the 1st 2 times?
