first response fertility tests---> are these any good? Are able to tell you if your ABLE to get pregnant...

This test measures FSH. The older we get, the higher our FSH level is...in theory. This is test will probably not give you an accurate level, but can tell you if it's below a certain level. I don't think it's a very good measure for fertility in younger women. Good luck!

i dont buy it - i mean i dont think it will work. my fsh is a 7 which is considered just fine and you know how my story goes. i wouldnt waste your money to be honest.

Laurie.. I used these awhile back ago when I 1st started TTC. It said I was fine. I assume that I am but just having a hard time getting preggo =(

IDK.. They are kinda expensive and I dont really know if they work or not! I just did it just to see.

okay thanks ladies.. Im waiting to hear back from the OB to see if I can get in for a thyroid test soon..... Just to see if thats okay... Wouldnt I have issues that would make me wonder if it was my thryoid or can those go un-detected too??

Laurie, since you know you ovulate regularly and if it's been a year of TTC, I would go ahead and see a RE and have a complete workup done on both you and husband. Issues with the dh are just as common as issues with us women. Just having a thyroid test will not tell you too much. Best to get it all figured out so that they can determine the problem, if one. sweetie- I WISH I could go see an RE. Sadly my insurance SUCKS and will not cover an RE nor does it really cover my regular OB. =( Dh had an S/A done and he was HEALTHY and eveything for him came back GREAT!!! Ive only had regular OB appts. paps and etc.. I only know I ovulate thru well OPKS and regular 26-29 day cycles.. Seems like I have to start somewhere and I heard the thyroid is an east blood test that I can with first. If okay there than we can move forward onto bigger issues. But I'd like to stick with the "inexpensiver" tests first to see if those are okay or not than move forward from there... Ugh- it just in general sucks. Never thought Id have this issue EVER! =(

I'm sorry about the insurance...that does suck : ( That's really great that everything with DH looks good. The good news is that it sounds like you do ovulate, which is often the problem for many women it seems. And if you got pregnant once, it can happen again! Good luck and you WILL have a baby : )

Having a wacked out thyroid can mess with fertility but u would hv symptoms. Like being heavy, a lowerbody temp always feeling cold and sluggish no energy, etc. Wd be nice if that wad ur problem cuz that's easily fixable!!!
