Finally On My Way!
May 30, 2008
I am having a HSG on June 6th!! Woo Hoo!! This is my very first infertility test and I feel like we are finally on the right track!
I have to do blood work mid-cycle and then my hubby has to do his SA. After that (before the end of this cycle), I'll have some answers and my first appointment with the RE!
Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers everyone! I'm nervous, but very excited!

Hi Wanna, I agree with Chelsea you are on the right track. I have hear many things about HSG but it does help to make sure that the tubes are clear. SA for the dh is a great idea. Get yourself a notebook and when you think of a question for the RE write it down and ask away. You and the dh are paying them money via out of pocket and/or insurance and use them. lol. Make sure they run all of the blood work on you also. If his results come back low get his hormones levels check ok. If you need any help we are here for you. Proud of you both...so you will be posting that BFP!!!! Think about doing IUI also!!!!
I'm so happy!
I started using my OPK's today (CD 12) and today's was negative (as expected). If I don't get a positive in 10 days, I'm to have blood work done anytime. If I do get a positive, I'm supposed to have blood work 8-10 days after the positive.
DH still needs to do his SA, but he's really not liking the idea. He wants a baby so badly, but does not want to force it... I understand it, but I hate the depression every month of another failed cycle. Any ideas on how to get him more enthusiastic about it?

Hi Wannabe!
So happy things went well with the hsg! Yeah! My hubby had the same issue about getting his sa done but basically I told him to buck up and gave him no choice! lol! Plus tell him that your having a million tests done and it wont hurt to have this one test done on him! Also you can help him out a bit and then drive his sample into the lab. Thats what I did, our lab is about 25 min from my house and you just have to keep the sample warm and make sure you have it to the lab within 1 hour of ejaculation! Tell him all guys do it! Good Luck!
