Expired OPKs?

Well I usually use the Clear Blue Digital monitor but this month I was out of tests so I decided I would use the Regular test strips and have been doing so for 3 days and have all been negative. Today I just noticed that the Expiration Date is 06/2008, do you think this could be why I am not getting a positive?
