EWCM toward the end of my cycle?

I'm on day 28 of my cycle (but only about 10 dpo by my OPK's). The last couple of days I've been having tons of EWCM. When I put it between my fingers it stretches at least 2 inches and I feel wet all the time. I keep thinking AF is here because I feel that damp. What could be other reasons for my excessive CM?

PS I'm on 100mg of clomid this month and 1000mg metformin/day if that helps.
